Read story →classic.cd is the living archive of Congolese elegance — from Franco's rumba guitars to Sapeur suits, from crackling vinyl to Boulevard du 30 Juin neon. We preserve what never goes out of style.

classic.cd was born from dusty record crates in Matonge and tailor shops in Barumbu. We are archivists, DJs, photographers and sapeurs united by one belief: true class never fades.
From the golden age of African Jazz, OK Jazz and Empire Bakuba to today's vinyl revival, we digitize tapes, restore photos, interview legends and dress the future in classic cuts. Our house on Avenue de la Nation hosts listening bars, exhibitions and masterclasses.
Seven decades of Congolese classics that shaped world music. Scroll the golden thread — every date is a groove.
Franco Luambo & Essous found l'OK Jazz in Kinshasa. The rumba revolution starts in smoky bars.
Papa Wemba's generation turns fashion into resistance: sharp suits, polished shoes, pride.
Kinshasa hosts Ali vs Foreman. James Brown & Tabu Ley share stage — classic meets world.
classic.cd presses remasters, opens listening café and digitizes 12k records for future.
Three pillars — sound, style, memory. Curated by our elders, remixed by youth.
A glimpse of our walls: brass horns, velvet suits, neon nights.
